Fatherhood Impact Award

Take Charge MN is spear-heading the “Fatherhood Impact Award.”

The fatherless home problem is pronounced in the black community, but it is a growing problem in all ethnic groups in the US. According to Pew Research Center, “At 23%, the US has the highest percentage of children that live without a father in the world” - 3x the worldwide average. Children who grow up without a father in the home are more likely to experience poverty, mental health issues, and negative outcomes in education and employment.

The Fatherhood Impact Award recognizes fathers who embody the principles found in “The Man Code” by Mark Henry. Winners will be recognized in front of our congregation on Father’s Day weekend with a TakeCharge representative and Pastor Mark awarding the certificates, monetary gift cards, and copy of the book, “The Man Code.” In addition, TakeCharge will also honor the winners by taking out a half page ad in the local newspaper. We believe elevating these men will inspire young boys and young men to emulate their behavior and young women to desire the characteristics in men that receive the award.

This is a unique opportunity for Revive attenders to nominate another Revive attender for the Fatherhood Impact Award. Nominations are due by Sunday, May 19.
